Inca
Artifacts
You
can call inca artifacts to practically any kind of element made by the
hands of the
incas;
It is a quite huge variety of artifacts that we can
talk about, so to make it simple, I will explain you just a few of
them, witch I think that are the most relevant artifacts from all of
them.

The archaeologist has not found any special artifact use as tool for
construction, it has been found only lead weights, water levels,
hammers, chisels, levers and so on, but nothing that could explain how
they cut, polish, move and place with such perfection those huge
stones; It is truly unbelievable, that with such simple tools, the
incas were able to build such beautifully temples.
The inca artifacts for hunting and fishing were quite simple, the incas
use boleadoras to hunt big animals, bows and arrows for smaller animals
and birds; Some inca
tribes in the jungle use
blowguns to hunt monkeys
and birds, they use fishing nets in rivers and in the ocean; For bigger
fishes they use harpoons made of bones or sharp stones; The hunting and
fishing was secondary in their economy, because the incas dedicated
primary to the agriculture and raising domestic animals.

Some inca artifacts are still in use today, a good example will be the
inca vertical loom, use to make all kinds of textiles; The incas got
the colors for the textiles from plants, insects and flowers; Most
Peruvian artisans are still using the same colors today, the Peruvian
artisans use the inca vertical loom to make inca textiles only under
request, because the quantity of material need it, plus the eight days
of work need it to made only one inca textile, all this raise the price
a lot.
The artifacts use in the inca
daily life were made of wood,
ceramic, textiles, stone and copper; For example the glasses call Keros
and the spoons were only made in wood; Most of the plates and pots were
made with ceramic; Bags, hats and shoes were made of textiles; Needles,
construction tools, knives and ear rings were made of copper; The incas
have two standard construction materials first it was blocks of
polished carve stone and for standard homes they use mud bricks.
Definitely the inca
art
made of gold should be the best well known inca
artifacts of all; The incas make practically everything with gold or
with gold plaques attach to the object, like for example shoes,
helmets, glasses, plates, idols, ear rings, nose rings, walls with
thick plaques of gold attach to it, even they were capable to produce
sewing threads of gold to make clothing for the inca king and so on;
The fact is that the incas master the metallurgy beyond our imagination.
